With that advice I continued through the forest and began to analyze the experience that I just had and the way it would help me understand my situation. I slowly realized that what brought me here was not because they hated me as a knight and thought that I was not worthy, but because they were jealous of my greatness. At this point of my journey it had now been four days into the woods and I was not certain when this journey was finally going to end. I kept walking and in that moment I saw a group of bandits who were gathered in a circle waiting for someone to arrive. I inched closer to them and began to overhear their conversation. I was crouched down behind a bush that was able to cover me completely but with any slight misstep would reveal my location. I heard the treacherous words that were coming out of their mouths when they spoke about the King and they called him, “villainous”, “deplorable”, and “corrupt!” I could not stand through this and continue to listen to the vile words they were spouting so I took my spear and each one killed them because I was still the kings protector and through their words they have attacked the my King. All three men lay on the ground and as I recuperated myself from the corner of my eye there was a figure coming out of a bush.
