After I had killed those foolish men I continued on my journey into regaining my greatness and honor. I continued to walk for hours into the forest when suddenly I spot a small cottage out at the outskirts of what looked like the end of the forest. I sauntered towards the cottage because this was the first time I had seen anybody other than the beautiful maiden that I had met previously. As soon as I was close to the cottage I spotted a man who looked as if he was making food for his family. Immediately my stomach began to yearn for real food and not simply fruits and berries this motivated me to continue to the front of the house and speak to this man. I knocked a small quite knock and immediately the man answered the door with a jolly smile on his face. He invited me in and we began to talk.
“Thank you for your hospitality, sir.” I proclaimed.
He echoed, “No, sir, thank you for giving me company during my meal. What is your name if I may ask?”
When he asked that question I realized that he had been the first person to ask me that since I began my journey.
I answered, “I am Bran, protector of King Arthur Pendragon”
The good man looked at me with awe and said, “I have never had a knight sit with me for dinner. What brings you around to these lonely woods?”
I looked at him for a minute and answered, “I’m still wondering that myself”
We ate our dinner and had a simple chat about our live and the life he leads out in the woods by himself. I began to see that I needed to get out of the woods and back to my own world.
